Math can be so intimidating for students. Engage students in educational math websites to further their learning!
Take a look at the websites I have gathered below and see if there is something to add to your classroom!

Common Core Sheets ~ Free & Paid Versions
- Website: commoncoresheets.com
- Grade Levels: K-8th Grade
- Description: A great source of printable worksheets in many areas of math. Not only are there printable worksheets but also can create flash cards, practice, and distance learning options
Splash Learn ~ Free for Teachers
- Website: splashlearn.com
- Grade Levels: K – 5th
- Free for teachers, but paid for families
- Description: Create assignments in reading and/or math for your students in grades kindergarten through fifth!
e-Learning for Kids: Math ~ Free
- Website: math-world.e-learningforkids.org
- Grade Levels: K – 6th
- Description: You can choose a grade level and it will take the kids through various skill levels for that grade level! You can also search by specific skill level
Fuel the Brain ~ Free & Paid Portions
- Website: fuelthebrain.com
- Grade Levels: Elementary
- Description: Fuel the grain has a lot of educational games (math, reading, science) as well as printables (for the classroom, not just coloring pages), teacher supports, and a place for students to create mini-books.
Fraction Strips ~ Free
- Website: toytheater.com/fraction-strips/
- Grade Levels: All Ability Levels, but mainly elementary
- Description: Check this out!
- An amazing online resource where you can move and manipulate fractions with like and unlike denominators to add, compare, and MORE!!!
- I learned about this from another co-worker to help out my students learn fractions. Then, during virtual learning in the spring of 2020, I pulled this out to teach my daughter fractions. You need to check this website out!
Study Jame ~ Free

- Grade Levels: Elementary
Description: Students can learn through videos or songs about math topics. Current topics are: Place value, order whole numbers, integers, number lines, estimate whole numbers, & expanded notation
Mr. Nussbaum Learning + Fun ~ Free & Paid Versions
- Website: mrnussbaum.com
- Grade Levels: K – 8th
Description: This website is full of K-8 educational interactive resources geared towards students in grades K-8. Subject areas include games, math, language arts, history, geography, USA, science, people, and holidays.
Dad’s worksheets ~ Free
- Website: dadsworksheets.com
- Grade Levels: elementary & middle school
- Description: In math, practicing a math skill is necessary. These are good extra practice for students who need it or early finishers. TONS of options!
Gallon Man ~ Free
- Website: Super Teacher Worksheets
- Grade Levels: Elementary & Middle School
- Even though superteacherworksheets.com is a paid site, this resource is FREE.
- Description: Conversions are such a hard topic to go over. This is an amazing visual for when you teach conversions! I pull this resource out every year to help out my students. There are a lot of variations of this same product, but this is the one that I’ve always used.
Khan Academy ~ Free
- Website: khanacademy.org
- Grade Levels: Math is Pre-K – 8th, but also has high school topics as well
- Free but accepts donations to remain free
- Description: A fantastic website that helps students understand math! LOTS of topics! FREE!
Prodigy ~ Free & Paid Version
- Website: prodigygame.com
Grade Levels: 1st – 8th grade levels - Teachers: there is a paid and free version. I’ve always used the free version. You can also link parent’s email so they see what their students are learning and encourage them! They will be able to play at home.
- Parents: If your teachers aren’t using this, you can sign and may for a membership. However, students may have a login through their classroom teacher
- Description: My students love Prodigy!!!
- I don’t think they even realize that I assign them math problems to reinforce skills that we are learning or that we need more practice!
- Teachers can even share students! I even have my own account and will play along with the students.
- They love beating me in battles since they are usually at a higher level since they play more.
- Teachers can create assignments or let prodigy create skills for them. You will also get reports on who is playing and how they did on an assignment or skill.
Xtra Math ~ Free & Premium Versions
- Website: xtramath.org
- Grade Levels: Any grade level working on basic math facts
- Description: Xtra Math is a great website (and app!) that will align to each student based upon which they need to practice. I would say it takes about 10 minutes and would be a great warm up activity, morning work, or a part of a math rotation.
- It’s another way to practice learning math facts, fast.
- Teachers are able to individually assign students on which math sign to practice. In my special education resource room, and I have students on multiple levels across grade levels.
- Even though I don’t have time to get this in every day, I have used it as a math rotation or a math warm up activity.
Cool Math 4 Kids ~ Free
- Website: coolmath4kids.com
- Grade Levels: K -12th
- Description: This website not only has math games, but also manipulatives: 10 frame, Base 10 Blocks, Number Lines, Pattern Blocks
Freckle ~ Free & Premium
- Website: www.freckle.com
- Grade Levels: K-12
- Free for classrooms and families, but there is a premium for school districts with more possibilities
- Description: ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science.
My students love using Freckle in the classroom. Students have lots of options in reading and math. It differentiates to each student based on how they answer questions. On the teacher side (I’m sure the parent side is similar, but haven’t tired it) you can see how the students are progressing!
Hour of Code ~ Free
Math is Fun ~ Free
- Website: mathisfun.com
- Grade Levels: all grade levels
- Description: The Illustrated Math Dictionary on Mathisfun.com is amazing! This dictionary contains 1175 definitions, 1140 illustrated, and 262 animated! Many of the students who we work with would benefit from the accommodation/modification of access to a dictionary, with visuals, to help them along in math. This website can easily get linked in your Google Classroom or classroom website.
