This reading board game resource includes suffixes and combining suffixes in single and multisyllabic words. It’s a nice, relaxed way to see if they truly understand the concept. My students request these to play these games at least once per week!

Games are an excellent way to review with students on sounds they are learning. I will even take reading or IEP goal data while the students are playing.

Great Activity for:

Reading Centers:
- Use this game for students to work on during a reading center rotation
Pairs or Small groups:
- students can work together in small groups or pairs if students are finished with their work early or a reading center

Intervention Groups:
- Games are a great way to to fill in the core concepts that students have missed

Special Education Groups:
- Students who need to work on key concepts of math would find encouragement in working with games.
Rewards:
- My students receive effort tracker points during my special education small groups that they can turn in for rewards. Some students use their points to play a group game at the end of our lesson!
