Final Draft & Celebrations
Such an exciting step of the writing process, the Final Draft and Celebrations! You can choose to have the students type or write their final draft. Don’t forget to check out earlier blog posts on the writing process: Step 5 – Editing.
Typing the Final Draft From a Typed Rough Draft
If the students drafted his or her writing digitally, then this step will be easy.
- No matter where the draft of the text began, you can copy and paste into the two documents I use the most with my students
- Google Docs
- Easier option of Speech to Text
- Google Slides
- Extra step in order to use speech to text
- Easier to add pictures
- Can upload fun paper as a background
- Google Docs
- Students will need to reread and edit their text for a final time. Often errors occur when going from paper to typed writing piece.
- Once everything is complete, now the students are allowed to:
- Change the font
- Add pictures
- Add a cover page
Typing Out the Final Draft from a Written Rough Draft
