Reading games are an excellent way to review with students on vowel combinations they are learning. Students who are working on their au, aw, oi, and oy sounds in one or two syllable words will need practice. Working on sounds can be challenging for kids, but through games, it makes it fun!
Games are nice, relaxed way to see if they truly understand the concept. I will even have the students read the word and take data on their phonemic awareness skills for reading or IEP goal data. My students request these to play these games at least once per week!

“These games are so fun and helpful to teach the patterns we are studying in spelling. Thank you.” JeanneEllen G.
