Welded Sound Exceptions

Welded sounds, also known as glued sounds, are sounds when put together say a different than expected sound.  The following are referred as exceptions since they do not follow the closed syllable rule, but the vowel is long.  These sounds can be very difficult for students and extra practice is very important.
